Heron’s And Eco Park

Squawk Framed

Shooting a Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) at Eco Park this morning.  This guy was a clown, and I ‘played’ with him for over an hour.  He had me running everywhere just trying to keep up.  I was shooting my backup camera again this morning, the Canon EOS 40D with the new Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM Super-telephoto lens.    Today I shot at ISO 800 (and some at ISO 400).  The noise was better than yesterday, but still too grainy for my taste.  I think it’s back to my Canon 5D Mk2 at 3.9 fps and its full-frame sensor (with high ISO noise performance).
