The Jaguar (Panthera onca)

IMG_0645 LRI just love these big cats.  They are the largest cat in the America’s—the apex predator supreme.  There is an ongoing and vibrant conservation effort going on down here in the Yucatan.  From time to time I have volunteered my photography, time and talents to Puuc Jaguar Conservation, located deep in the jungles of the Kaxil Kiuic Biocultural Reserve, in the mountainous region of the Puuc in Yucatan, Mexico.  As I’ve often mentioned on this blog, to me the Jaguar is the Yucatan, you can’t have one without the other.
