Ravel: The International Dog

Ravel is an international dog.  He understands French, Spanish and some English.  Ravel is a Basset Hound, although I’m not completely convinced he is aware of that fact.  We frequently see him strolling Paseo de Montejo, in the cool hours of the morning, with his owner Martine (French Canadian and Merida resident).  When it suits him he will join us while we drink our Cafe Americanos at Cafe Pistache (formerly Cafe la Boheme).  He’s a cool dude and one of our favorite four legged critters here in Merida, Yucatan.  Our other favorite dog is Deuce, of course, the English Bulldog who has been featured on these pages before.  More human than critter, both canines always manage to put on smile on our face and a song in our heart.
