The Face of Cuba

The Face of Cuba: I photographed this little girl in a small fishing village outside of Baracoa, Cuba. She was standing in a dimly lit doorway as her grandfather entertained us with his classical guitar. I love the natural lighting on this one, and of course she’s just as cute as a bug.  The fingers in front of her mouth disguise the fact that she had just crammed a bunch of chocolate into her mouth.

Photographer’s note:  Captured in CameraRAW with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM + 1.4x teleconverter zoom lens.  RAW conversion and post-edit enhancements completed in PSE11.  Camera settings:  1/80s @ f/5.6, ISO 1250, FL/100mm, Natural Light, Handheld.

  1. Lovely image Steve. I like the added information that she was cramming chocolate into her mouth. Good for her! 🙂
