Steve and Diana

Her name was Diana … and she was the first girl that I ever fell in love with (and probably the only person I ever fell in love with unconditionally).  Her parents really liked me, and my parents simply adored her.  And why not, she was an angel.  We looked like brother and sister … cute kids, blonde and blue-eyed … two peas in a pod … made for each other.

The story is sad.  Gregory David Roberts, in his novel Shantaram, said:  ” … some things are just so sadthat only your soul can do the crying for you.”  That’s how sad this story is.  Tears alone cannot express the grief; the pain cuts too deep (even after these many years).  No one can hear my soul screaming in pain; its voice is mute…
