Thank you Philippines. My Facebook business page (fan page) Indochine Photography has almost 6,000 Likes. I’ve been actively marketing www.IndochinePhotography.me in countries other than the United States, and there have been some real surprises with this more global approach. The biggest surprise has been my warm welcome in the Philippines—I now have many new followers (friends) in that beautiful island country. Numbers two and three have been my reception in both Peru and Mexico. Likes and Shares don’t automatically equate to sales but I remain hopeful.
Most of my sales still come from my followers in the United States, but I’m trying to reach a more global audience by reaching out to: Canada, England, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Philippines, Mexico and Peru. I’ve sold my work extensively in the United States and Mexico, and I’m now trying to capitalize on some of that notoriety in other countries. My partnership with Fine Art America allows me to ship my fine art prints worldwide, so it’s about increased exposure and not logistics.
I know that I will never get rich with my photography, and that has never been my goal, but it does give me some added flexibility in my travels and gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction. To be recognized and appreciated for my work is HUGE. A reminder to my international friends: if you’re interested in buying any of my prints I can ship them anywhere in the world through my eCommerce Store. I am currently travelling in Chile and will move on to Argentina next month. Following a short visit back to the United States (its been almost five years) I will be returning to Asia. The Philippines is definitely on my list so maybe I can meet many of my new friends there. To my followers in the Philippines, Mexico, and Peru I extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU for your warm welcome and gracious support. The biggest benefit of my travels so far has been meeting new people and making new friends.
